Welcome to the PG-13 rated Playboy section! If you ask your average Carmen fan, there is absolutely nothing wrong with nudes, but some people disagree, and this site is meant for viewers of all ages. All nude pictures have been censored for this site. It's a little unclear what's acceptable and what's crossing the line, so if you feel like any pictures are too provocative or not censored enough, please e-mail the webmaster. All e-mail requests for uncensored nudes will be ignored.

pbblack.gif - 11018 BytesCarmen has posed for Playboy on three different occasions: In the May issue of 1996 (more pictures from this shoot were later printed in the June 1997 issue), the December issue of 2000, and most recently in the April issue of 2003.

One common error that the media makes is refering to Carmen as a former "Playmate". Carmen was already semi-famous from her 1993 self titled album, so when she posed for Playboy in 96, it was technically a "Celebrity Pictorial". The "Playmate" label is one of Carmen's biggest pet peeves.

After Carmen's 96 shoot, her career started to take off on a totally different path. She landed Singled Out and Baywatch, and had many publicists and managers advising her to steer away from the sex kitten image. She was offered a spread in Playgirl magazine, which she seemed to like the idea, but said in an AOL chat that her managers "wouldn't let her." It was reported that she filed some lawsuits against some websites for displaying nude pictures of her, and she refused to sign any nude pictures for autograph seekers. For many years, another Playboy shoot from Carmen seemed like a distant dream.

02.gif - 23986 BytesIronically, durring those years when she was trying so hard not to be a sex kitten was when her personal life and career were both at their lowest points. Thankfully, durring 2000, Carmen did some major soul searching, and got her life back on the right track. That's when she decided that to do another Playboy shoot would be 100% true to who she is. She then suprized her fans with the December issue of 2000.

Carmen has said that she definitely doesn't want Playboy to be a regular thing- she doesn't want to overdo it. She has no intention of breaking Pam Andersons record of Playboy covers. She simply wants to do it when the time is right, and most importantly when she's feeling good about herself. If her life keeps going as well as it has been, she probably WILL break Pams record in the near future!
