GQ Awards
Carmen attended the Gentlemen Quarterly magazine's Fifth Annual "Men of the Year" Awards at the Beacon Theater in New York on October 26, 2000. I don't know what her role at the show was, but at least we know she is in New York at the moment, and should keep our eyes peeled for more appearances.

08/23/00 Whole Lotta Carmen News!
Carmen is in New York right now, and she appeared on Fox News this morning. She confirmed that she is going to appear in the December issue of Playboy.
It was also confirmed that she will be on the cover of next months FHM (the US edition), which you can see a preview of here. She's currently in New York acting as a celebrity judge in a male model search that FHM is putting on.

Carmen attended the Teen Choice Awards last week. Whether she's a nominee, presenter or just an attendee- I have no idea. But she was there and it will air on Fox at 8:00 ET/PT on Tuesday, 22nd.

For those of you who missed this the first couple times it aired (that includes me!), it will be reran on Wednesday evening at 8:00 PT/11:00 ET. From what people have told me, this show was just plain odd. It's well worth checking out though...

Scary Movie has reached $140,665,013, making it the highest grossing film in Mirimax/Dimension history. The previous record was set by Goodwill Hunting, which grossed $138,367,357. Scary Movie also set the record for the most successful three day opening of an R-rated film when it grossed $42,346,669 durring it's first weekend. Not bad for a film that only cost $19 million to make!

Carmen will be counting down the days top ten videos as she hosts Vh-1's Rock Across America this Friday at 2:00 PM. Access Hollywood was there for the filming and to talk about her films recent success.
- "I'm pinching myself. I'm in shock. I had a really tough year dealing with my mom and some other things in my personal life. And it feels so good to have something come out that is really positive."
Carmen has managed to take some time out of her busy schedule to celebrate:

For those of you who missed out on Carmen's 97/98 weekly chats on AOL- Now is your chance to get in on the action. Carmen will be chatting live on AOL on Friday, July 7th at 7:00PM EASTERN TIME. Type in the keyword "AOL Live" to get into the chat section. If you don't have access to AOL, I would suggest taking advantage of their "50 Free Hours" deal, in order to catch this event. Wow, I'm excited for this one! Until then, let's all think of really great questions to submit that nobody ever asks her. Also, don't forget to figure out the correct time for your time zone.
Since 50% of people in chat rooms don't understand how these special events work- I thought I'd tell you some of the major facts. There will probably be around 1000 people wanting to chat with Carmen. Of course that many people in one room would not work since the screen would be scrolling too fast to read- so we all get divided into groups of 20 or so. Carmen doesn't have a group- instead she gets "the stage", so all the groups can read what she says. But this is the important part: SHE CAN'T READ WHAT YOU ARE SAYING TO YOUR GROUP! I only stress this because people always assume she can, but has chosen to be a b*tch and ignore their questions. That's not the case though, she can only read the questions the moderaters choose to give her. To ask Carmen a question, you must use the "submit question" button- then it's up to the moderaters to sift through them all and submit one to Carmen. Don't be suprized if yours never gets picked out of the thousands that are submitted though. It can be frustrating....
06/25/00 Corrections
As you probably noticed, Carmen was not on Kilborn nor Ben Stein on the dates that were mentioned here. Kilborn has been re-scheduled for July 4th. As far as Turn Ben Stein On goes, there must have been a mix-up about the contents of the premier episode. I'm quite pleased about the format of the show, however, because the entire half hour is spent on one guest. That means when Carmen's show finally does come up, they will get to cover much more than her relationship with Rodman and her Baywatch audition. Don't forget about Conan on Tuesday..... Also, keep listening to Howard Stern because she'll probably be on this week.
06/20/00 More Appearances Coming Up!
Carmen will be on a number of different talk shows toward the end of this week and the beginning of next week. To start it all off, she will be a guest on the premier eppisode of Turn Ben Stein On, which will air Thrusday, June 22nd at 10:30 ET/PT. Then on Friday, June 23rd, she will appear on Craige Kilbourn. Finally on Teusday, June 27th, she will be on Connan. I still don't know about her daytime talkshow appearances, so keep your eyes open.
06/09/00 Latest on Electra's Guy
Carmen has a feature in Movieline this month, which you can see more of in the Zines section. In the interview we finally learn more about this pilot, Electra's Guy, she has shot.
"It's about a 'woman' who's been programmed to do pretty much anything, like a fembot. I get to fly jets and say stuff like 'This is a J52-K6 with dual tuber-opticals!'"
Uh-oh, I was afraid it would be a bullets and boobs series. But I guess it's possible the show can turn out good anyway. Still no word on when the series will air.

Keep your eyes peeled when watching any New York based talk shows this week because Carmen Electra is making the rounds! She is scheduled to appear on "The View" on Tuesday, May 30th- so don't forget to set your vcr's. Howard Stern also mentioned she would be on his radio show this week, but he didn't say what day. Do you think he purposely doesn't tell us so we are forced to listen all week?

Carmen will play a "sexy cyber-organism who teams up with a gorgeous male secret agent to save the world" in a new TV movie called Electra's Guy. This is her syndicated deal we've been hearing rumors about recently. The plan is to test the ratings of this movie, and if it does well it will be made into a weekly syndicated series.
03/16/00 The List
Carmen will lend her oppinion and help decide what the most controversial video of all time is, on VH-1's discussion show The List. Hosted by Henry Rollins, the other three guests on the pannel will be Master P, Kari Wuhrer and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Her episode will premier on Tuesday, March 21st at 7PM ET/PT. Maybe this will get her warmed up to do Politically Incorrect, which she's been too intimidated to do, despite horny Bill Mahr's persistant invitation.

It looks like they are really serious about this syndicated series deal! There are small news bits about this all over the place, though there is very little information on what the show is about. But she was named by this weeks Entertianment Weekly as the "Winner of the Week" for filming the pilot for her own syndicated series. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and pray that it won't be another "bullets-and-boobs" series!

Carmen will be showing off her new home on MTV's Ultrasound special, MTV Cribs. It looks like she may have moved since her pictorial in Hello! magazine, which you can see in the New Home section of this site, but I'm not sure. (I may have to change the name to "Old Home.") She did mention on Donny and Marie that she was going to have to move, due to complaints from neighbors. We'll just have to see. Anyway, this special will air on Saturday, March 4th on MTV at 2:00PM ET/PT, 5:30PM ET/PT and 1:30AM ET/PT.

It looks like Carmen's hour long Fox special, Banned in America: World's Sexiest
Commercials 2, is finally going to air for real this time. You can even check for yourself at the official FOX website, if you don't believe me. The special will be on Tuesday, February 8th at 8:00 PM ET/PT.

Carmen will guest star as herself on Fox Television's Mad TV, Saturday night. This is her second time on the show, the first being back in 97 where she acted as the host. (see pic) Saturday nights show airs at 11:00 PM ET/PT.
01/28/00 Airing in March
Court TV has recently begun airing a new series called Hollywood & Crime. Coming in March, the show will profile Carmen and Dennis and their various problems with the law. It sounds like Dennis will be the major focus here, but it may be worth checking out for the slight chance they will show some footage we haven't already seen a thousand times. Two half hour eppisodes air back to back every Friday night at 7:00 ET/PT.
01/28/00 Vacanze di Natale 2000
If you are lucky enough to live in Italy, you can now go to the local theaters to see Carmen in her new movie Vacanze di Natale 2000. Those of us who are outside of Italy aren't completely out of luck because we can still go to the movies official site to view the movie trailor and download about 5 movie stills with Carmen. We all should thank Luke of Carmen 3:16 for hunting down this site! I still don't know how or when this movie will be available to the rest of us, but I will let you all know as soon as I find out.
01/17/00 American Music Awards Tonight
Don't forget to watch Carmen tonight on ABC for the American Music Awards. She's only listed on the AMA's official site as a "presenter" so we may not see as much of her as hoped, but at least we get to see her. This is her very first time presenting at the awards, though she did attend the show last year. (See pic.) The show airs tonight at 8:00PM ET/PT.
01/12/00 Virtual Star Search?
Carmen has been persuaded to host the launch of Hollywood Screen Test.com's first ever "Virtual Star Search." It's an interactive site where amature talent is showcased. Those who register with the site can vote for thier favorite participants. The site will be officially launched on February 4th. There are also details at the site about how to audition, but you have to get your butt over to Hollywood by January 15th. Carmen will be there from 8:00AM to 6:00PM to offer advice and answer any questions. It may be worth making a fool out of yourself if you really want to meet Carmen!
01/11/00 Carmen is Modeling
Carmen will be working the catwalk in the Bausch & Lomb Sterling Optical Gridiron Glamour 2000. (That sure is a mouthful!) Carmen participated in this event last year (see pic) when it was called Passion for Fashion. The show takes place in Atlanta on Superbowl Sunday, January 29th. I don't expect the show itself to be aired on tv, but I'm sure all of those entertainment shows will be covering it. (Except for National Enquirer TV, because they are far too busy delivering news from 6 month old issues of Instyle magazine.)
Other modeling news- E! recently aired a show called WIld on the Runway that featured Carmen behind the scenes of a runway show durring fashion week. My city doesn't get E!, so I don't know how often they air their shows. But you can click on the pic for more info from their site. Hopefully they will air it again soon.
12/30/99 Millennium Live Special Scrapped
I thought it was strange that all the hype for this 24 hour New Years special Carmen was hosting on the PAX network fizzled down to nothing so quietly. I've been searching for news on this like crazy and only today have I found a tiny tidbit. Apparently the producers couldn't come up with enough money to put it on, so they've given up on it. So I suppose that means we can all go ahead and make New Years plans now. :-)
12/07/99 American Music Awards
Yesterday, on the 6th of December, Carmen was present, along with Dick Clark and Norm MacDonald, for the announcment of this years nominees for the American Music awards. Pic 2
What was also announced is that Carmen will be appearing at the actual awards show, "sharing the emceeing duties with Norm MacDonald." I'm not sure what that means, because Norm MacDonald was named as the host, but I suppose she will work as some sort of cohost. The awards will take place at LA's Shrine Auditorium on January 17th. The show airs on ABC.
11/30/99 Battery Charges Dropped
Thankfully, all of the charges against Carmen and Dennis over the catfight that took place in a Miami hotel room on November 5th were dropped.
Attourney Roy Black said the incident was "Typical of what happens between a married couple" and "This simply wasn't a crime....but because of their celebrity, everyone took notice."
The fight that took place that morning may have been blown out of proportion, but after this whole incident, Carmen's wise words that she told Hello! magazine a few months ago have never seemed more true.
- "We all control our own destiny and if we surround ourselves with negative people, bad things are bound to happen."
So now that Carmen and Dennis are allowed to see eachother, we can only assume that she will take her own advice. But I have a feeling Dennis will be very persistent about patching things up, which is a little scary.
11/28/99 Starstruck spotted at Blockbuster
Our good friend, Luke, who is the webmaster of Carmen 3:16, has recently informed me that Starstruck is now available to rent at Blockbuster. So go rent it! Nobody has seen this movie up for purchase yet, but we are still looking. It sure has been a long wait! For those of you who aren't familiar with this film, it's an independant that Carmen completed nearly two years ago. She was very excited about this project because it gave her the opportunity to try something other than your "typical bombshell role." After it's production, she spoke to Smoke Magazine about her role in the film.
- "I get to play a completely different kind of character in the film. I play a drug addict. It's a very small role, because I didn't have time to take on a bigger one. But it's cool. It's edgy. It was very interesting because I've never done any drugs. For me to have to pull this character from somewhere was hard. I kept asking all my friends, 'Have you ever tried Ecstasy? What did you do? What was it like?' A couple of them could actually answer my questions!"
Keep your eyes on the message board because Luke is supposed to let us know when he updates his site with a review of Starstruck, as well as Mating Habits.
11/25/99 Oops!
A few blunders to correct here; As you've probably noticed, Carmen's Sexiest Commercials special did not air on Wednesday, but instead the old rerun of the first special that some guy hosted. So TV Guide, Cincinnati.com and I were all WRONG! I appologize for that. If you want to trust me again, I'll be sure and post the correct date once I find out what it is.
Secondly, I had every intention of reminding you all when the MTV Europe Video Awards would be airing in the USA. But since it aired on the 20th, I guess I'm a little late, eh? I'm hoping they will air it again, and if they do I will let you know. But in attempt to make up for it, I've scanned a new pic of Carmen at the awards.

11/18/99 Mating Habits on VHS
Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human hits video stores on Tuesday, November 30th. It can be pre-ordered at Amazon, Reel and Cd Now, but it will cost you $70-$100! It's a very cute and very funny movie that costars Mackenzie Astin and Lucy Liu, and it's narrated by David Hyde Pierce. The price will definitely go down after a few months, so I'd recomend renting when it comes out and then buying it later. Here's a clip from the movie. If bad language offends you in any way, by all means don't watch this clip!

Apparently Carmen is doing not only a weekly series for Fox, but she's also doing an hour long special called "Banned in America: World's Sexiest Commercials 2." The show will air the evening before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 24th. There is still no word yet on the air date for her weekly Fox series. Comments?
