08/10/98 Fanatic
Carmen was on the same episode of Fanatic as her future soul-mate, Dave Navarro, which is pretty groovy. Carmen's "Fanatic" was a nice guy named Chad, who was
so inspired by her self titled cd that he churned out a prize winning play called "BMW" while listening to it. When he told Carmen his story, she seemed so genuinely touched. When he handed her a copy of his play she clutched it against her heart and said "I'm gonna cry."
After that they played some frisbee, she gave him a back rub and he went home the happiest guy in the world.
02/08/98 Vibe
Vibe is one of those shows that Carmen always had a great time on. Most likely it's because she knows Sinbad from her kickboxing classes.
Her AOL website was one of her big things at this time, so she talked about that. She said she loves working on material for it and how nice it is to get honest reactions from her fans.
She was pretty excited about being given her own show by the WB network. She talked about how great it was being a producer but that it was hard to try to
convince celebs to be on the show, and asking to take pictures with them. This turned into her asking to take Sinbads picuture and then another staff member.
01/20/98 Regis and Kathie Lee
While Carmen was in New Orleans attending the syndication conference, she appeared on Regis and Katie Lee. She wore that cute sexy little outfit that got her in trouble with People magazines fashion police.
She told the yada yada story about her Baywatch audition and demonstrated the slow-mo Baywatch run. She came back later for a game of Pictionary on a team against Richard Simmons. We later find out in chat that this game set her on a longtime boardgame obsession.
11/00/97 Keenan Ivory Wayans
Carmen's hairstyle on this show caused quite a riot with her family, as she mentioned in her AOL diary.
She actually thought her hair looked pretty good until her mom called to tell her all her friends thought it looked awful.
The hairstyle really wouldn't have been so bad if she had bothered to curl the back too. The interview was good though! Keenan blindfolded her and suprized her with a skinny black older guy in a body-suit and cowboy boots.
She had a great time dancing with him!
04/22/97 The Tonight Show
Carmen appeared on the Tonight Show for the very first time to promote Singled Out. She hiked up her dress to show the bruises she got when she totalled her car on her birthday.
Jay asked her a lot about Prince and she said some nice things about him.
09/00/97 Regis & Kathie Lee
Carmen had her first of many appearances on Regis when she was promoting her debut on Baywatch. What was funny about this interview is that when they asked her if Carmen Electra was her real name, she went into the story about how Prince discovered her and wanted to change her last name to "Electra."
She said it was because "Carmen Patrick" didn't sound so good. So apparently she wasn't ready to reveal that her real name is Tara.
09/16/97 Viva Variety
This variety show was something that shocked a lot of people, because Carmie actually sang live opera! It was a silly skit about white trash, but her voice actually sounded quite good.
You can listen to the clip right now by clicking on the lips! She also had a funny sit down interview/skit at the very beginning, and she changed outfits again to introduce the musical guest, Moby.
