News Archives 06/02/02 Women Of The Beach Carmen will host a show on the E! network called Women of the Beach. The show appears to be about female surfers and stuff. It debuts on Tuesday, July 9th at 10:00 PM and will be repeated numerous times throughout the week. You can check her TV Guide schedule for times. Also be on the lookout for the show called Rank on E!, where they will count down Hollywoods greatest bodies. They showed Carmen in a preview so I guess she "ranks" on the show. 05/17/02 The Simpsons Carmen will guest star on the season finale of the Simpsons, airing this Sunday. She appears as herself (in animated form, of course) and is supposedly witnessing Homers execution after he's falsely accused of murder. This sounds quite odd, but will surely be a classic Carmen appearance! 04/15/02 Pussycat Dolls Carmen will again be staring in the contemporary burlesque show, Pussycat Dolls, premiering Thursday, May 9th, and continuing each Thursday through the 30th. The shows will be at the Roxy, located at 9009 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Tickets are $20-$35, and can be purchased by calling (213) 365-3500. 04/09/02 Carmen Promotes Tanning Salon She will be in New York on Thursday, April 25th at Pershing Square by Grand Central Station, to help the tanning company Hollywood Tans, celebrate the opening of their New York franchise. She'll help judge a contest for the sexiest male and female who will appear on billboards. Hopefulls can register beginning at 12:30. She's also supposed to be on Howard Stern soon, so it might be durring the same week. 02/25/02 Talk Shows Carmen is in the Bahamas for the beginning of the week, filming her appearance on the Regis & Kelly show. The show is filming at the Atlantis in Paradise Island, and it's scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 27th. Another schedule has her listed for Thursday, so we'll have to wait and see which is correct. Another talk show she's doing is the Late Late Show with Craige Kilborn, which is scheduled for Thursday night. 02/04/02 Hollywood Squares It's Carmens turn to do Hollywood Squares again. Yippee! She'll be on durring the week of February 18th thru 22nd. The squares around her will be filled by Miss Piggy, male supermodel Tyson Beckford, Diana Ross, Kathy Griffin, and A.J. McLean. 01/16/02 New Fall Projects Carmen is reportedly being considered for 2 different fall projects, due to her Colombia TriStar deal coming to an end. One is for an NBC produced action/adventure type of show called B.A.I.T., much like V.I.P. The other is for a weekly magazine show with Carsey-Werner called "Living Large." We'll just have to wait and see if either of these see the light of day. 01/08/02 Chat with Carmen Maxim Online will be conducting a live chat with Carmen on Tuesday, January 15th at 5:00 ET. The site doesn't say anything about it right now, but I believe it will happen since the webmasters notified me about it. 12/28/01 New Years Bash Carmen has been scheduled to host Hollywoods biggest new years bash, "Center Of The Universe On Hollywood Boulevard.'' It's an electronic music festival that will occupy 7 city blocks and have 3 stages of entertainment set up, featuring Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish and BT (live) as well as Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Sneak, Grant Plant, DJ Irene, Marques Wyatt, Jason Bentley, Mark Grant, Kazell and Tim Lawson. 20,000 people are expected to show up for this event. So far, it doesn't look like this party will be televised, but I'll keep you posted. The stars are Roman Danylo, Don Reed, Aisha Tyler, Greg Watanabe, Gary Anthony Williams, Billy Wright and Susan Yeagley. The show debuts at 9:30PM on December 25th. 11/29/01 Candies PSA's The first of a series of public service announcements by Candies Shoes, targeting teen pregnancy, will begin airing today on MTV durring TRL. She begins filming eppisodes in San Francisco next month. 10/12/01 Baywatch Calendar to Support Yasmine It looks like we may see Carmen in a 2002 calendar after all. The following was printed in the National Enquirer: Rallying for "Baywatch" buddy Yasmine Bleeth, Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra phoned after her drug bust -- promising Yasmine they'll produce a star-studded 2002 "Baywatch" calendar to raise money for free drug counseling programs! David Hasselhoff and Traci Bingham are already aboard, and proceeds will go to Betty Ford, Promises and other rehabs. 10/09/01 2 New Music Videos Carmen makes cameos in 2 new music videos that are currently in circulation. One is in Jay Z's Girls Girls Girls, and the other is in Dave Navarro's Hungry. 10/09/01 Baywatch is Back! Apparently the production of the Baywatch TV movie has been reignited. Carmen, Pam, Gena, Angelica etc. will all be back. Hassellhoffs thought-to-be-dead character will be back too- fortunately a migrating whale rescued him and ushered him to a desert island, so he didn't die in the explosion after all. What amazing luck Mitch has! 10/09/01 JANE Cover Carmen has hit another big milestone in her career- she shares the cover of November's JANE magazine with Dave Navarro! It's already on some newsstands around the country. I'll post it when I get my hands on a copy. 09/23/01 Baywatch Feature Cancelled It's recently been confirmed that the Baywatch movie has been cancelled, for undisclosed reasons. Rumours are that producers were having problems signing on Pamela Lee and were also concerned about Yasmine Bleeths recent arrest for drugs. 09/23/01 Macys Passport '01 Carmen appears to be doing well- yesterday she attended an aids fundraiser in Santa Monica, sponsored by Macy's, where she walked the catwalk. Any rumours that she was pregnant based on the bulge in her tummy should be discarded now, obviously. She couldn't look more fit! 08/25/01 Carmen confirms: The Engagement - Last night Carmen was on Craig Kilborn, her first tv appearance since the big news. She spent much of the time fondling the ring, so it was kinda hard to see what it looked like on. (Thankfully they had a close-up of the ring laying on the floor for a skit at the end of her segment.) She said they don't have a date set because of his touring and her Vegas show. With a shakey voice, she lovingly gave the first details about Dave's proposal: "We met on November 10th, so the 10th of every month we go out to dinner and we make a big event out of it. We have this digital camera that Mirimax gave me durring a movie. And we took pictures all over- we travel everywhere together. Usually I'm just the girl and I bring out the camera, 'Baby, come on, lets look.' And he's like [rolls eyes] 'Ok Babe'- It's kinda boring to him. This night he brought out the camera and we were looking at the pictures together. And he was down on one knee the whole time and I wasn't even aware of that, because he was on the edge of the bed. And the very last picture was him holding up the ring. And then he proposed to me. We cried- I said 'Yes', and we spent five hours just staring into eachothers eyes. It was really sweet. He's a good guy. Well, maybe a little more than just staring.." Lumiere - Carmen mentioned her Vegas show that she starts next year. Craig asked if the rumor is true that she will be earning $1 million each month, and she said that figure is correct. She will be doing that for 2 entire years! Baywatch Movie -Carmen also confirmed that she will be in the Baywatch movie that films in October. She doesn't know what the storyline will be, but she knows one thing: She's not swimming! 08/23/01 Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn Carmen will appear on Kilborn tomorow night- it doesn't appear to be a re-run. Hopefully we will get all the details about the proposal and wedding, as well as a glimpse at the ring! The show airs Friday, August 24th, check your local listings for times. 08/20/01 Baywatch Movie Carmen's getting back into the red swimsuit! She will be in Oahu durring the month of October to shoot a two-hour Baywatch tv movie, followed by more shooting in Los Angeles. The $5.5 million dollar movie with air on FOX durring February sweeps. 08/17/01 It's Official! Dave and Carmen's publicist released a statement today confirming the engagment. Not much more was said, other than the comment that the ring is gorgeous. The wedding will most likely take place next year. Dave Navarro recently talked to Launch.com about his desire to start a family: "There's no inner, like, search that I'm trying to satisfy with music right now," he said. "I'm truly doing it because I love it. Like I said, I have other goals, and one of those other goals is to raise a family, you know? Because I know what it's like not to have a family and I know what it's like to be locked in the studio for months at a time, but that's something that I don't know about. I think what's exciting to me right now are things I don't know about." 08/16/01 Engaged? According to Page Six, Dave Navarro proposed to Carmen on Tuesday night, and she accepted. You can't always believe Page Six though, so don't bank on it. 08/07/01 The Others Premiere Carmen attended the premiere of "The Others", along with her boyfriend, Dave Navarro. The premiere took place in Hollywood last night. The movie stars Nicole Kidman and is about a haunted school-house. 07/20/01 Andy Dick Show The Andy Dick show has been picked up again by MTV for five more eppisodes. Our Carmen will be guest starring in one of them- This should be amazing! The new eppisodes begin Augest 5th. 07/16/01 Carmen in Lumiere On Friday, Carmen attended a ceremony in Las Vegas at the Aladdin theater, anouncing her new deal. She has signed a 2 year contract for a show called Lumiere that will play at the Aladdin hotel-casino in Las Vegas Nevada. She will be performing in 12 shows per week, and they will begin in early 2002. She will be playing a "fallen angel" combining her dancing talent with cutting-edge optical illusions and magic tricks. Former Prince protoge, Apollonia, will be one of the producers. Carmen is trying to get Ricky Martins former choreographer, Jamie King to do the project. 07/06/01 Lil' Pimp Carmen's voice will be featured in a new animated feature film called Lil' Pimp, which is expected to hit theaters in 2002. She will be working with Bernie Mac, Jennifer Tilly, William Shatner and possibly Lil' Kim, who hasn't yet signed on. 07/03/01 Scary Movie 2 Premiere Carmen attended the premiere for Scary Movie 2 last night in Los Angeles. She's not in this movie, unfortunately, but is still looks very funny. Did you know the Wayans brothers didn't get rich off the last one because they didn't negotiate points ahead of time? Hopefully this second one will make up for it. Go see it tomorow on the 4th, when it opens! 06/28/01 The View Carmen will appear on ABC's The View tomorow. She's there to promote the UFC, no doubt. The show airs Friday, June 29th at 10:00AM. 06/28/01 Carmen and the UFC! It looks like the rumors about Carmen and the UFC were actually true! It was announced today that she's the new spokesperson for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The big fight airs on Pay-Per-View on Friday night. 06/28/01 Carmen disappoints fans in Spokane Carmen was expected to appear at the Northern Quest Casino, along with her other castmates, to greet fans and sign autographs. Fans waited on Tuesday night from 9:30PM to 2:00AM, but she never showed up. You can't really blame the girl- from what I've seen, those signings really suck! Carmen arrived on Friday and spent her weekend "getting into character". 06/17/01 New Movie for Carmen Starting Friday, Carmen will be in Spokan Washington filming an action movie called "Wet Work". She costars with Judge Reinhold and the film will be directed by Douglas James. Due to the fear of the Screen Actors Guild strike, the film will be on a tight 18 day filming schedule. 06/11/01 Carmen to host Big Red party Carmen will be in New York tomorrow, hosting a bash for Big Red bubblegum where they will attempt to break the Guiness world record for the worlds biggest hot tub. A sweepstakes will be held that will send 120 winners to Club Big Red in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Carmen has offered up her top 10 tips on hooking up, to help the winners enjoy thier free trips: 10. She's listed as one of the celebs who will each appear in 30 second public awareness adds for the Candies Foundation this Fall. Carmen will be one of the many celebrities that is interviewed to talk about her favorite videos. This should be interesting because we get to hear her give her oppinions about something new. So much better than a hosting gig! The show comes on at 10:00 PM ET/PT. 04/26/01 Carmen to host World Music Awards Carmen has been chosen to host the 2001 World Music Awards, along with Sisqo in Monte Carlo next month. The show will be taped on May 4, and airs on ABC on May 28 at 9:00 ET/PT. 04/19/01 New Pizza Hut Commercial Starting Monday, a new Pizza Hut commercial starring Carmen and Marie Osmond will begin airing! Pizza Hut chose Carmen and Marie because they are an unlikely and unexpected pair, much like they claim their new twisted crust pizza is. "I had a great time shooting this commercial for Pizza Hut. Marie and I worked well together, and I certainly didn't mind eating all that Twisted Crust pizza!" Entertainment Tonight ran some behind the scenes footage. This is what she said: "Her name is Diabella, she's the devils daughter. Her mother's human and obviously her fathers Satan, and he's like a real ladies man and he hangs out in Vegas a lot, he likes to gamble. He's CEO of a company, imagine that. I'm his daughter and he says, 'You know, you're gonna have to go to earth and, like, recruit souls for me.' And I said, 'Well, only under one condition- that they really deserve it.' So when Diabella gets angry her eyes blaze red and her hair gets wild. But it's really cute, like I can burn through rope with my fingers, they get really hot. Or I can heat up a capuccino if I want. It's comedy, a lot of action. I'm excited!" Carmen seemed truely excited when she talked about this show, which I didn't detect when she had talked about Electra's Guy last year. So hopefully this is a project she really likes and it will work out well for her. It's still in the very beginning stages, so we don't know when we can expect to see it. 03/09/01 Get Over It Carmen's latest movie, Get Over It, opened in US theaters this weekend. It's a story about a young guy trying to get over his first girlfriend so his friends take him to a club that Carmen works as a dominatrix. Carmens part was cut down from the original version in order to keep it from getting an R-rating. Hopefully this movie will do almost as good at the box office as Scary Movie! She's also scheduled for Regis on Thursday. 03/07/01 Carmen's New Love Carmen was on the Howard Stern radio show this morning, and she set a few important things straight. First off, she said not to believe what the E! THS said about her relationship with Prince, and still maintains the story that they were just friends. She also said that she never dated Tommy Lee. She has a girlfriend who is close friends with him so they have been out together in groups, which is what started all the rumours. When asked about Sean Lewis, the club owner she was rumoured to be dating, she didn't even recognize the name. She said she never dated Vin Diesel, but is good friends with him. Now for the big news: She announced that she is dating someone but didn't want to reveal who it is for fear of jinxing it. After about ten minutes of everyone in the studio begging and prying while she squirmed and giggled, she finally agreed to say who it was if they guessed correctly. They finally narrowed it down to Dave Navarro, former guitarist of Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chile Peppers!!! "He's really sweet. Really nice. It's new- it just started but I'm happy."
